Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: June 2, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you may and may not do with the Porch platform. It applies to all users, including free and paid accounts, and to all content hosted on or delivered through the Service. This AUP is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
Porch is built for sharing static web apps — reports, dashboards, prototypes, and other browser-based content. The platform is not designed or permitted for the uses described below.
Prohibited Content
You may not host, deploy, or distribute content that:
- Is illegal. Violates any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation, including export controls and sanctions.
- Infringes intellectual property. Infringes, misappropriates, or violates any copyright, trademark, trade secret, patent, or other intellectual property right of any person.
- Is sexually exploitative of minors. Contains, depicts, or promotes child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or sexual exploitation of minors in any form. We report all discovered CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement.
- Is phishing or fraud. Impersonates another person, company, or service; creates fake login pages; harvests credentials or financial information; or otherwise deceives users.
- Distributes malware. Hosts or distributes viruses, ransomware, spyware, adware, trojans, worms, or other malicious code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
- Facilitates spam. Is used as part of bulk unsolicited email campaigns, link farms, or other spam infrastructure.
- Is harassing or threatening. Targets individuals with harassment, hate speech, threats of violence, or content designed to intimidate or harm specific people.
- Constitutes hate speech. Promotes, incites, or glorifies violence or discrimination against groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- Violates privacy. Publishes private personal information about others without their consent (doxing), or is used to stalk, surveille, or monitor individuals without their knowledge.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Launch security attacks. Conduct denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, network intrusion, credential brute-forcing, or other unauthorized security probes against Porch or any third-party system.
- Mine cryptocurrency. Run cryptocurrency mining scripts in visitors' browsers without their explicit, informed consent.
- Circumvent access controls. Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with security features, rate limits, or access controls on the Service.
- Impersonate Porch. Create content that impersonates Porch, its staff, or its communications, or that falsely implies endorsement by Porch.
- Resell without authorization. Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service in ways not expressly permitted by your plan or by Porch in writing.
- Generate bulk accounts. Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits, free-tier restrictions, or other Service limitations.
- Interfere with the Service. Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or overload Porch's infrastructure, servers, or networks.
Enforcement
Porch may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, remove content, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate this AUP. We may also report violations to appropriate law enforcement authorities. The severity of enforcement is proportionate to the severity of the violation. We do not issue refunds for accounts terminated due to AUP violations.
Reporting Violations
If you believe content hosted on Porch violates this AUP, please report it to abuse@getporch.app. Include the Porch URL, a description of the violation, and any supporting evidence. We review all reports and respond to credible abuse reports within 2 business days.
To report copyright infringement specifically, see our DMCA Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP. For material changes we will provide notice through the Service or via email.
